Permission for a 3 storey extension to the north and west of the existing hotel to accommodate the following: a) 43 additional bedrooms over 3 floors, b) aerobics room to the ground floor, c) spa area to the ground floor, d) minor internal alterations to include 3 additional bedrooms at first floor within the existing hotel, and e) all associated site and landscape works above and below ground.
The additional 46 rooms planned as part of the development will comprise 38 standard, five superior and three deluxe rooms.
As part of the expansion plan, the day spa – currently located on the first floor of the hotel – will move to the ground floor, with the addition of a new aerobics suite and five new treatment rooms.
The new day spa and leisure centre will have its own entrance, as well as being accessible from the hotel.
Tender: FBD Hotels & Resorts is currently inviting tenders for the work. Construction is set to begin in November and finish early in 2018
