Development of two waste facilities; a metal recycling facility and a recovered waste storage facility. The metal recycling facility will have a capacity of 45,000 tonnes per annum for the processing of scrap metal. All waste activities including acceptance, processing and storage [containers] will occur within an existing building [hall a]. The finishes product will be transported either in bulk load or in containers depending on the end market. The baled recovered waste storage facility will accept a maximum of 45,000 tonnes per annum of recyclable materials recovered from household and commercial waste. This waste will be stored within an existing building onsite [hall c] prior to shipping. There will be no processing activities within hall c. A dedicated area [4,190 sq. M. ] will also be established on the quayside for material storage prior to loading on ships. Other ancillary works will include the provision of a demountable weighbridge, re-surfacing of an existing hardstand area.
