Use existing site infrastructure, including buildings, as a 40,000 tonnes per annum waste transfer and processing facility which will accept mixed dry recyclables, mixed municipal wastes, construction and demolition (C&D) wastes and commercial and industrial (C&I) wastes; upgrade of the existing surface and foul water management systems onsite; construction of a waste quarantine shed of 17.6 m2. Activities associated with the development will include sorting, bulking, separation, segregation and temporary storage of waste prior to movement offsite for further treatment. The proposed development will operate under a waste licence from the Environmental Protection Agency. An environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and a Natura Impact Statement (NIS) have been prepared in respect of the proposed development.
