The development will consist of demolition of the existing HSE Administration building and HSE Health Centre building; Construction of a 4,461 square metre Primary Care Centre, part two storey, part three storey, including Primary Care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Mental Health, Early Intervention, Dental and GP surgery accommodation, with separate single storey ambulance and paramedic base, single storey bin store, and associated 138 no. surface car parking spaces; 18 no. cycle parking spaces at building entrance and landscaping and all other ancillary works; Vehicle Entrance and Exit onto Cromcastle Road; Pedestrian entrances from 1. Oscar Traynor Road 2. Cromcastle Road and 3. The Park area to the east.
Update August 2017: The centre is in construction with a projected opening for 2018.
